About Collective Z Gallery

Collective Z is a contemporary art gallery on Broome Street in the Lower East Side, founded by Alex Z. Wang — a practicing painter, former Kearney brand strategist, and Parsons/Columbia MBA. We opened in February 2026 with a simple belief: art should be approachable without losing its edge. We show emerging and mid-career artists across painting, video, and mixed media, pairing serious curatorial rigor with a space that feels genuinely welcoming — not intimidating. Every show is paired with talks, walkthroughs, and small-group gatherings that get you close to the work and the people making it. Beyond exhibitions, we run Camp Z, a curated platform connecting emerging artists to art fairs nationwide. Come for the walls, stay for the conversation.
