Join us at Collective Z for a conversation with Fatemeh Jamalpour and Nilo Tabrizy, authors of For the Sun After Long Nights: The Story of Iran’s Women-Led Uprising (Pantheon), longlisted for the National Book Award. The event takes place within Conviction, Haleh Atabeigi’s exhibition honoring women imprisoned for their political beliefs in Iran. Jamalpour reported from Tehran during the Woman, Life, Freedom uprising following the death of Mahsa Jina Amini, while Tabrizy covered the movement from the United States. Together, they chronicle the largest protests Iran has seen in decades. Moderated by Sahar Delijani, author of Children of the Jacaranda Tree. The evening includes a reading, conversation, audience Q&A, signed books, and wine. RSVP required.
