For attendees

How do I book an experience?
Pick any experience from the calendar, choose a date and how many seats you need, enter your details, and pay. You’ll get a confirmation email right away with the venue address and anything you need to bring.
Do I need an account to book?
Yes — a basic account takes about 30 seconds. You can sign up with Google or email. We use it to send you confirmations, handle refunds, and let you leave a review afterward.
What if I need to cancel?
The exact window depends on the host — read our full Purchase Policy. Short version: 7+ days before, full refund; 2–7 days before, 50% refund; under 48 hours, non-refundable but a host may offer a free reschedule.
What if the host cancels?
Full refund, automatically. We also help you find a comparable alternative if one is available that week.
Who is Marigold for?
Everyone is welcome. We curate for people looking for craft, connection, and thoughtful local experiences — workshops, tastings, classes, and small-group gatherings.
Are these experiences only in Philadelphia?
Philly is our densest market, but if you have other locations in mind let us know and we’ll start approving events in other locations.
Can I bring a friend?
You book the number of seats you need at checkout. Please don’t bring unbooked guests — most hosts cap attendance, and extra guests can derail the experience for everyone.
Are experiences accessible?
Accessibility varies by venue. Host listings disclose known details (stairs, seating, sensory notes). For anything not listed, message the host before booking. We’re working toward comprehensive accessibility metadata on every listing. See our Accessibility page for our commitments.
Do you have gift cards?
Gift cards are on our roadmap but not live yet. For now, you can book an experience on behalf of someone else by entering their name on the booking form.

For hosts

How do I become a host?
Start at signup/host. The onboarding flow collects your business info, your first experience, and connects you to Stripe for payouts. Our team reviews every application within 5 business days.
What does Marigold charge?
No monthly fee, no setup fee. Marigold charges a 9.25% per-ticket host fee on tickets you sell — unsold tickets are free. Attendees pay 13.25% as a platform fee at checkout. Credit card processing is covered by Marigold.
When do I get paid?
Typically 2–7 business days after the experience occurs, through Stripe Connect to the bank account you linked during onboarding. Exact timing depends on Stripe Connect rules for your country and account type.
Can I list more than one kind of experience?
Yes — one business can list multiple experiences. Most of our hosts evolve their offering over time based on what attendees love.
