About Paperism Designs

Lisa Heller, Founder and Creative Director of Paperism Designs, has spent more than three decades shaping the American specialty paper industry as a retailer, designer, educator, product developer, and international sourcer. From helping launch Paper Source and founding Fiber & Pulp to leading product development at many retailers and importers, her career is defined by innovation, craftsmanship, and a deep understanding of fine paper. Her work has taken her across the country teaching book arts and papermaking and to Japan, where she was invited to harvest kozo and experience handmade papermaking at its source. Paperism Designs brings together everything she has learned about materials, design, production, and the enduring power of beautiful paper.
