This workshop invites you to explore wagashi—traditional Japanese handmade desserts shaped by centuries of seasonal awareness, craftsmanship, and quiet contemplation. Guided by Oshiriai Studio, you will craft three Nerikiri sweets inspired by the exhibition currently on view at Fou Gallery. While uncovering the history, ingredients, and time-honored techniques of this culinary craft, you will design your own unique creations. More than just a tasting, this experience transforms the creative process into a form of meditation. Through simple hand movements—pressing, pinching, and layering—you will engage your senses of sight, touch, and taste to sculpt and paint your own edible art.
